video premiere: Le Ren – Love Can’t Be the Only Reason to Stay

Lauren Spear aka Le Ren shares the gorgeous video for her timeless, lovesick ballad "Love Can't Be the Only Reason to Stay", an absolute heartbreaker from her SONGS I OUGHTA SING EP, which Lauren self-released in late 2018 alongside the accompanying "sister EP" SONGS I OUGHTA HEAR. Le Ren collaborated once again on this one with director Ali Vanderkruyk -- who also directed the video for Le Ren's vintage country stomper "I Did U Wrong" -- and the stark black & white visual makes the song feel even more like a long lost classic. Le Ren tells us about the video:

"(Ali's) concept was to have everything very much stripped down to show the loneliness that goes along with the loss of a relationship. I wrote the song when I realized I was being treated badly and that the love that I had couldn't solve that. A real pick me up for winter!!"
