Norway's Birgitta Alida follows up her soaring, timeless chamber-pop gem "Glory" -- one of our favorite songs of the year so far -- with a delightfully warm and breezy new summer jam, out this Friday on Bergen label Blanca Records. Inspired as much by the classic girl groups and yé-yé singers of the '60s as the irresistible modern pop flowing out of her native Scandinavia these days, the vibrant "When I'm With You" is a wistfully sweet and romantic indie-pop nostalgia trip that Birgitta says is "about someone or something who brings out the best in you and makes you forget your troubles."
