We were first introduced to Brooklyn producer/singer/choreographer Abbi Press when her roommate Yaeji took over GvsB for a day last year, and compared Abbi's sounds to a kefir, banana, and cacao smoothie – "sweet and smooth." That sweet/smooth vibe certainly radiates from Abbi's dreamy new single "Deep Breath", a soothing, softly glowing self-care anthem about "letting go and living for the moment", out today on Cascine's singles label CSCN.

"Sometimes you just have to let go," Abbi says of "Deep Breath" and the song's Breaking-directed visuals. "You have to feel all of it — and know that there’s something better on the other side. It’s what makes the pain subside, just for a while, and you come out of your shell to surface and breathe relief. Admittedly, it’s an escapist song, but it was made as an act of self-preservation — letting go and living for the moment. This song is about that continual journey of ups and downs that we all experience in life. You’ll be ok; just take deep breaths."
