We mentioned Vivian Girls' cover of the Chantels' classic "He's Gone" a while back, after being treated to a special a capella rendition here in Dallas. Next best thing: the group has decided to give away their charming studio version (which was recorded by their friend King Tuff) for free, so they sent it over for us to post here...

We took the above Polaroid of Vivian Girls covering the Chantels' "He's Gone" at the Cavern here in Dallas back in October, but now you can hear the brand new, only slightly less intimate studio version, recorded by King Tuff, at the group's myspace page...
