Japanese artist Noah shares a track from her forthcoming LP Thirty, which her label flau calls a "synth-streaked, lo-fi love letter" to her current home city of Tokyo. The record is "a diary of associated images told with all the glitz, energy, messy chaos and nostalgia that the Japanese capital conjures", and lead single "メルティング・ブル (Melting Blue)" feels like a softly glowing, neon-hued synthesis of vaporwave and Japanese city pop that makes for a haunting rendering of the mystique and intrigue of the city at night...
Vancouver's Mood Hut crew is set to drop a new comp next month on Japanese label Snaker, featuring what sounds like very soothing and blissed-out tracks by Jack J, Pender Street Steppers, and more, all with very appropriate titles like "Rain Dance", "Lunar Milk", "Love Festival", etc. (full details + descriptions of each track here).
