The Morning Benders kick off their North American fall tour at Oak Cliff's historic Kessler Theater on Saturday, October 9, with special guests Twin Sister & Cults. The Morning Benders just sent over their "R&B-ified" cover of Paul McCartney's classic "Ram On," as well as their great new 29-minute autumn "Echomix," which features tracks from FUR, Teen Inc., Kellz, McCartney, and more. The band kicks off their upcoming North American Fall tour at Dallas' historic Kessler Theater on October 9 with Twin Sister + Cults; more on that soon.
The band also posted up new song "Go Grab a Stranger," a Big Echo b-side that Chu tells us was originally slated to make the record, and now appears on a limited tour 7":
The Morning Benders just posted up the album version of "Excuses" -- the opening track from their forthcoming Chris Taylor co-produced full-length Big Echo -- for free download on their website. Living up to the glorious instant classic live version is a tall order, but the band delivers in the form of this warm, unabashedly romantic, classic-'60s-pop-informed throwback love song (complete with gorgeous "At Last"-esque strings):
