As we count down the hours to her set at this weekend's dance party of the year, Jessy Lanza blesses us with new visuals for her floating Oh No highlight "I Talk BB". The Winston H Case-directed vid, which finds Jessy blearily rolling around town on her white cruiser, is a morning-after sequel of sorts to her lit night-riding "Oh No" vid from last summer...
Jessy Lanza + drummer Tori Tizzard recently performed some highlights from Lanza's new record Oh No during a recent studio session for CBC Music, and they also mixed in a couple of classics from her debut Pull My Hair Back (fun fact: the vocal sample in "Kathy Lee" is actually Kate Upton saying "cat daddy" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Watch a few of the highlights below, check the whole performance over on CBC's youtube channel, and see Jessy + Tori do their thing live at one of our Texas Summer shows next month:
Christie Sealey is one half of Orphx and Rich Oddie is the other. They are both from Hamilton. Christie and I share a studio where I do music and she has a painting studio. She is one of my best friends and (similar to Jason) is another synthesis wizard I have the fortune of being friends with. She has helped me with studio and software problems more times than I can count. -- Jessy Lanza
Ceramic TL is a project by our friend David Psutka. He came to Hamilton every week to help Jeremy Greenspan and I mix our new record OH NO. I don’t think we would have finished the record without him. In this video Bryce Kushnier has done a light installation that blows me away. He’s also designing the light show for my upcoming North American tour -- Jessy Lanza
