Here's the latest collaborative effort from former Pocahaunted member Amanda Brown's new project, LA Vampires: this time out, Brown gets an assist from Mi Ami's Daniel Martin-McCormick, aka Ital. The title track from their forthcoming Streetwise 12" is a lush, ethereal dance jam that sounds like it was conjured from the ghosts of various '90s songstresses, as Brown's wispy, cooly detached vo

We've been thoroughly enjoying the laid-back hazed dub vibes of 936, the new LP from "tranced post-reggae hyno-pop" duo Peaking Lights. Here's the dark and faded "Tiger Eyes," a jam that's markedly sexier and more melancholy than the relatively immediate and upbeat "All The Sun That Shines...

Here's the first jam from Pocahaunted's new Make It Real LP, the L.A. outfit's first effort since expanding to a five-piece (via adding new members Sun Araw + Diva Dompe). "Save Yourself (It's Nice)" veers from danceable, frenetic jungle groove to ethereal space-dub jam over the course of its relatively structured 8 minutes, courtesy of Cameron Stallones' signature fuzzed-out organ flour
