My wife Fernanda makes clothes and is a far more inventive and creative thinker than I am. Im especially fond of this collection of jackets she made a little while back. The fabric for the jackets comes from traditional Portuguese blankets (Fernanda is Portuguese I should mention) and I like the idea of walking around covered in a blanket...

This is another local group that i like a lot. I first saw videos of theirs as promotion for one of the Principe nights and liked how they grafted with the music. They’ll have a new 12” record coming out soon but for now check out this video which shows them playing together...

Here’s a recent one from this Swedish band. I like the singing a lot and really like how they go the extra mile to craft synth sounds. They also don’t seem to let the machines do the work which i can appreciate. Im also a fan of the song they did with Gorillaz called Empire Ants with two loosely connected but gracefully navigated sides...

My friends Nelson and Afonso play in this local band and we share a practice space as well. Nelson and another friend Pedro are in part responsible for why Im here as they booked Animal Collective at a festival in Lisbon (the now defunct Numero Festival) 12 years ago or so...
