Toulouse's Laure Briard just dropped a gorgeous new LP of bright and romantic French pop -- which we've previously compared to Stereolab and the ’60s golden age of vintage French pop -- with sounds ranging from the decidedly psych-rock vibes of tracks like "Que reste-t-il" and "Dalida", to the shuffling, classic Françoise Hardy feel of gems like "Je Vole" and "Chat". Lovely stuff all around. Sur la Piste de Danse is out today on limited edition 12" vinyl via Paris label Midnight Special, with a cassette release to follow soon on LA's Burger Records.
