premiere: Montreal’s Tess Roby releases gorgeous Ballad 5 single on Italians Do It Better

Psyched to premiere this absolutely lovely new one from young Montreal musician and photographer Tess Roby, taken from her new 12", out today on Italians Do It Better, and streaming below. The pensive, dreamily swaying "Ballad 5" will also appear on Roby's new record, coming later this year on Italians. According to the label, it's "a song of love & loss in the humid Montreal summer. The sound of Parc Avenue in the blue light of dawn...", and it manages to elegantly and mysteriously skirt the fine line between icy and warm, depending on your mood.
