A couple months back we posted up a "floating, intoxicatingly languid" breakup jam from Montreal artist June Moon, aka Forever, who makes up half of tropical house/paradise party duo Cafe Lanai. Not to be outdone, her bandmate in the group also makes sensual, intensely yearning slow-jams as Mind Bath, and will release his proper debut single this week on Cascine's singles imprint CSCN. The darkly soulful "Bad Timing" features a very tasteful L-Boogie nod and additional production from Mind Bath's friend, Vancouver producer Project Pablo; check it below, along with the sparse and haunting "bedroom dub" version of the track, which Mind Bath says he made "in about 30 minutes and recorded off my looping pedal in one live take":
