The prolific Jorge Elbrecht unveils the title track from his ambitious new conceptual record Here Lies, created over what a press release calls a "10-year period of deterioration" in which Elbrecht suffered some kind of break with reality and spiraled into a deep depression, ultimately transforming into "an atrophied chassis, meandering from one foggy idea to the next, unable to focus." The elaborate backstory is impressively muddled and strange, and the record is divided into "subcategories" consisting of Elbrecht's various projects -- you're going to want to watch the album trailer below to make sense of it all -- but the results are uniformly beautiful and enchanting. Listen to "Here Lies", created by Elbrecht's Gloss Coma persona and featuring the always amazing Tamaryn, and another gorgeous track from the record ("Flesh to Ash") below. Here Lies is out February 28th digitally + on limited tortoise shell vinyl.
