Janel Leppin is an avant-garde composer, cellist, and songwriter based in DC and I’m lucky enough to have her in my band. She’s changed with me in countless unglamorous rest stops in highways across America and Europe. She’s also in the insanely amazing duo Janel and Anthony on Cuneiform Records with virtuoso guitarist Anthony Pirog.

Anyway, Janel has two shimmering new solo albums out on her own brand new label, Wedderburn Records. "The Past Is Lo-Fi" is a great showcase of Janel’s mastery of layered atmosphere and her incredible cello skills.
