Like seemingly everyone else on the internet, we're currently obsessed with the new Spielberg-meets-Stephen King '80s nostalgia trip / Netflix original series Stranger Things. One of the elements that makes the show so great is the perfectly eerie atmospheric score, which was created by Kyle Dixon + Michael Stein of Austin band S U R V I V E. Their score elicits the same sense of wonder and dread as John Carpenter's classic film scores, Tangerine Dream's best horror scores, and more recent brilliant throwback scores from Disasterpeace (It Follows) and Cliff Martinez.
