Dreamin’ Wild

The newly mastered reissued version of Donnie & Joe Emerson‘s lost 1979 classic LP Dreamin’ Wild — a record that was once about as obscure as things like this can get these days, at least until blogs like Soul Sides caught on, and then Ariel Pink officially blew up their spot — is out next week on Light in the Attic. The label has hooked us up with a copy of the LP on super limited (100 copies) 180g baby blue vinyl (already long sold out) to give away to one of you. Just tell us the name of a record that you feel deserves to be rediscovered/reissued in the comments, and I’ll pick a winner next week. It’s worth noting that Donnie was only 17 when he wrote this masterpiece, and as great as Ariel Pink‘s and Dean Blunt/Inga Copeland‘s versions are, the original was already about as perfect as they come:
