As we've mentioned repeatedly here and on our radio show, January Sun, the stellar debut 12" release from Russian producer/singer Yana Kedrina -- aka Kedr Livanskiy -- currently sits in rare company with Oh No, untitled unmastered., and Lemonade as one of the best records of 2016. And while the entrancing, beautifully lo-fi "No More Summer Rain" doesn't actually appear on the record, it was one of the first things we ever heard from Kedrina (via this charming video on her youtube channel), and it might be the most uplifting and hopefully nostalgic track in her oeuvre.

As haunting as anything on the EP, but with a dreamlike cinematic quality, the song feels like a warm ray of morning light bent and refracted through the mist. Listen + download it for free by clicking the shopping cart in the player below:

January Sun is out now on 2MR. If you happen to be in Texas, we're incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to present Kedr Livanskiy's first U.S. shows this summer, as part of a lineup that also includes Jessy Lanza, Teklife's DJ Taye, + more to be announced soon.
