It may or may not be that time yet, but here is the highly subjective list of our 60 favorite albums -- too long, I know, but we could have gone much deeper -- from an unfathomably weird, incredible, terrifying 2016. It was a year marked by loss and uncertainty, and that might be why music felt more monumental to us than ever. Thanks for sticking with us for another year. Burial's surprise Young Death / Nightmarket 12" is now available for purchase via Hyperdub (edit: it's already sold out, but you can still purchase digitally). After listening to questionable vinyl rips all weekend long, I can already promise that we will inevitably rank this thing way too high on our year-end list, but every new Burial release feels like such an event and inspires such an intense emotional/visceral reaction upon first listen that I think it's warranted. NOIA is the enchanting solo project of Brooklyn-via-Barcelona artist Gisela Fulla-Silvestre, whose immersive debut EP is out this fall on Cascine -- incidentally, she was actually introduced to the label by one of our favorite directors, Allie Avital -- and today, we're psyched to debut the record's magical lead single...
