Chastity Belt star as the coolest, most jaded band in the world as they wander around Seattle's Capitol Hill in search of a meaningful night, in this Bobby McHugh-directed video for the group's new single and one of our favorite jams of the year so far, "Time to Go Home...

Yumi Zouma follow up their stellar debut EP and an all-around breakout year in 2014 with their new EP II 10", out March 10 on Cascine. We've already heard the dreamy, bittersweet dance-floor catharsis of "Alena", and today the band unveils the Allie Avital Tsypin-directed video for new single "Catastrophe," yet another sweetly infectious jam that captures the kind of wist

We're honored to debut the brilliant new video from Shabazz Palaces, for our favorite song from the best album of 2014. The multi-talented Chad VanGaalen brings the Palaceer's vivid and profound "Forerunner Foray" imagery to life with his psychedelic, surrealist animation; stars slung across the heavens, majestic time-traveling black stallions, and Magic Johnson surfing the spaceways on

Here are our favorite records of 2014. The general consensus seems to be that this was probably not the most amazing year of all-time for new music, and further, we just weren't feeling that many of the unanimously lauded critic/indie blog favorites this time around (many of which we wanted to love, but it just didn't work out, with a few notable and very obvious exceptions). But as always, if you

Yumi Zouma came out of nowhere early this year with an EP of softly shimmering, twilit dream-disco that was so pitch-perfect (right down to the cover art; some might even suggest it was 'custom-built' for us) that it almost felt like it was destined to be a fluke, a debut that was surely the result of some kind of serendipitous long-distance magic that a young group has trouble ever recapturing.

As if we weren't psyched enough for Panda Bear's set in Dallas tonight, today we are #blessed with the first seemingly official Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper-related thing to be released so far, via the new PB vs. GR site: a new mixtape, I think...

We are psyched to finally announce the 2014 edition of our annual summer showcase: GvsB IV happens on Friday, September 12, 2014, at the Granada Theater here in Dallas. This year is special, as we are beyond honored to present arguably our single favorite artist in the history of this site, Noah Lennox, aka Panda Bear, whose Person Pitch remains one of the most influential and acclaimed albums of
