"It blew up my brain so hard that I literally started Eerie to fucking put it out because it’s a crime against humanity for this music not to be heard...Hurt NIN sound design/pain w Dolly Parton-esque witty profundity that sometimes gets super dark and contrasty to fluttery expressive cherub vocals…"Grimes on Nicole Dollanganger's new album

For most people (including us), the introduction to Ontario's Nicole Dollanganger came via the announcement that Grimes was starting a new artist co-operative/record label called Eerie Organization to put out Dollanganger's stunning and very dark new record Natural Born Losers. Turns out Dollanganger's been doing this for years though, and quite prolifically too, amassing a devoted following on the strength of an intimate (and sometimes super creepy) tumblr and her deep and very good catalog of haunting, occasionally disturbing records.

She's still somewhat of a mystery, though, and we've always maintained that the best way to get to know someone is to just give them the site for a day to post whatever they want (as we've done in the past with such visionaries as Panda Bear, Ishmael Butler, Grimes, and many others). So please welcome Nicole, and stay up on all of her posts throughout the day right here, as she shares some of her favorite artists, and the music that inspired and informed her beautifully macabre sound.
