The annual Los Angeles-based FYF Fest was humble in size, sweet and yet progressively cool -- like Coachella's little sister that borrowed its clothes. We got to spend the day hopping to shows, eating colored popsicles, and thanking the universe we'd worn proper shoes. All the while getting to hang with the bands that make the heat worth it. Between finding abandoned kitchen sinks with Toro y Moi or snapping shots next to Morrissey's "Vegan" crew vans with Neon Indian — Fuck Yeah Fest didn't disappoint. // photos + words by Claire McKinzie
