Is it bad that we now get suspicious (of what, I don’t know) every time a mysterious band emerges from nowhere with a sound and focus as seemingly fully-formed as on this lovely, smoldering debut from new London trio London Grammar? Thanks to yvynyl for the heads up.

definitely my new jam.
definitely going to remix this gem. . . ..
Totally suspicious. Probably of the fact that they’ve got money backing and aren’t ‘indie’ after all. But whatever, a good tune is a good tune.
in this day and age it is literally impossible to tell who has money and who doesn’t simply by listening to the music itself. this is particularly true for anything in the electronic realm. some of the best sounding music is made on a cheap computer with free plugins, and likewise there’s all sorts of artists with plenty of money who intentionally aim for a lofi sound.
Who cares Simba?
nice track, but yeah reason to be suspicious…
if you ever long for those days of electronic music that is produced with mediocrity in a bedroom from a band with a bio, just hit me up…
