There seems to be an endless stream of post-punk comps dropping every other week but this one is a bit special: Focusing on Irish groups from 1980-83, Strange Passion is probably one of the best snap-shots of a time & place I’ve seen put together in a while. It’s also the first record my daughter ever asked if she could borrow from me, and the folks at Finders Keepers were kind enough to upload her favorite track (I couldn’t choose, too many favorites…) for you to hear. Have a listen to “Always In Danger” by Choice, but really the whole collection is worth a listen. — Memory Tapes
