Christopher Owens unveils his first post-Girls solo effort, taken from his forthcoming album Lysandre, which Owens calls “A coming of age story, a road trip story, a love story.” Lysandre is out January 14, 2013 on Fat Possum/Turnstile.

So good. Like Morrissey post-smiths. Album art even reminds me of ‘viva hate’. But sounds more like a nick drake/Townes van zandt/Elliot smith thing, with more straight forward guitar. Great!
