“New Town Burnout” on repeat. Stream the whole thing, complete with visuals, here.
love a band that never disappoints, what an incredibly gorgeous record
Meh-ing out pretty hard to this so far. They made a panda bear pitchfork pleaser so now they can get away with an avey tare led weird out for an album. Like “Father Time” the most so far. I remember hearing that one live and it holds up to that.
Needs more pandy bear
OMFG. Just finished the album in it’s entirety. So. Great. And the video accompaniment…perfect.
love it. will be a nice album to digest it on vinyl :)
doesn’t disappoint in the slightest, lovin it so far
this is gonna rip shit up in a live set
if you don’t go to this show you fucked up
just the facts
I just can’t get into NTB. The first time I heard it, it reminded me of a Tomboy B-side and it still does after repeated listens…maybe it’ll just click one eventually. I’m loving the rest of the album, (except for Wide-Eyed, sorry Deakin) especially Moonjock, Rosie Oh, Father Time, and of course Today’s Supernatural
this album is so annoying
literally love how divisive this is. if nothing else, it’s stirring shit up. i’m in like with it for now.
Wasn’t sure what to expect based on what I’ve been hearing about a different direction. Better than my high expectations. Perhaps there best work??? Only dilema is whether to get vinyl or cd
there is something totally unrelaxed in the music of this album.
I actually dont like it and that hurts.
aside from the first two songs, the rest of the album is very enjoyable, even if they resonate with me much less now than they did years ago.
I actually like how frantic the album sounds. It’s like watching a centipede on its back wiggling all of its legs trying to stand again. The aural equivalent of 5 Hour Energy. Geologist kills on this album, that guy is a wizard with sound design.
Pretty happy with this after an initial run-through. Wasn’t expecting much after hearing ‘Today’s Supernatural’, which is probably my least fave of everything. Hard to tell at this point, but hopefully this will stay interesting for a good bit.
I’m really digging Amanita. and most of the tracks on the album especially Moonjock. yeah, Rosie Oh too. So far so good. Great album.
This is actually pretty awesome! Very fucked up rhythms, more of a rock album for sure. The pacing is a bit similar with similar speeds throughout, less big highs and mellow lows. That could be what bothers some folks.
