This is incredible; I’m glad he released something this awesome to shut the Twitter haters/homophobes up. Also, what about the mini-masterpiece that is “Thinkin Bout You” (re: “second great track”)? I suppose the album version is different than the single, though, so it’s not exactly the same, but it’s definitely worth mentioning.

      Did you see that Lil Scrappy article that said it was good for Frank Ocean to Come Out, so that women can f*ck the ‘real men’ and keep the AIDS situation down in the AA community? I can’t wait to try and get his comment (scrappy’s) once the end of year lists come in, because you are right, ‘Channel Orange’ will be plastered all over them.

        it will be on those lists despite whether or not it deserves to be. no matter what his album sounds like, the simple fact that he’s gay plus the hype he’s gotten for coming out so “bravely” will influence people’s critical reaction to his music. basically, he’s going to be hailed as some sort of musical savior/genius just because he came out. i’m not saying that his music is bad, but a lot of people will probably like it more now than they would have if he was straight, even if it’s a subconscious thing.
