This album was definitely worth the wait. One thing that interests me about the Chomatics, and has interested me for a while now, is their consistent recycling / remastering / rereleasing of their songs over and over again. Which they do beautifully. The track A Matter of Time, which had been recorded previously under the title Baby, for instance. I love that everytime I listen to a new version of an old song I can fall in love with it all over again.

just goes to show that more bands should take time to craft something worthwhile, it’s worth the wait.
^yes and why with those auto-tune songs? i’m confused. there was something earnest and honest in early ‘italians do it better’ work, now it seems overly polished and ready to be shelled out for runway shows and movies. i know people got bills to pay, but it feels manipulative to us to still try and seem like they’re so ‘independent’ and niche.

I was never a big fan of the Chromatics, but this album has convinced me that the hype is well deserved. Great record.
