Chris, what the hell is up with the dreadfully tacky album art on this mix? Furthermore what’s up with nearly all the album art in rap and hiphop? With the exception of maybe Stones Throw and The Weekend is seems like the genre (rap in particular) is hooked on album art that makes graphic designer weep for hours on end.

I don’t know who made a rule that a blog that predominantly covers “indie” music has to only blog about indie music. Rap and hip hop can be considered independent music. Infact, A$AP Rocky, Schoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, etc are playing at festivals like Pitchfork and Coachella. Don’t be a music snob.
