So dope. These two need to do a record together. Try to hate on this without mentioning SNL:

END’S KILLER
DON’T GET IT.
love the pitched down octave
It’s ok. Seems a bit underdeveloped.
Wait… Would anyone hate on this girl if her entire story wasn’t made up by an A&R at some record company?
This isn’t as much of a departure from the original track as i was expecting. Too much of the original vocals are left intact. I’ve taken a liking to having Clams Casino distort, truncate and modulate vocals such that the end result is wholly a new creature along with his beats and production. This just isn’t provocative enough.
I liked this a lot more after listening to it a second time.
“Try to hate on this without mentioning SNL:”
Okay. This fucking sucks.
nah
The stuff blogs are made of
…bland, un-melodic, not much of a variation on the original vocals. cant imagine you’d be posting this if not for the traffic that the people involved will bring.
exactly. just for the hits… this is clams worst work… i almost wonder if he did this on purpose as a parody of sorts.. lana del ray was created for hits and hits only… the label sells her to the blogs… the blogs sell her to the ppl because we trust the blogs… not for long…
good theory
I hate it….
I like Clams Casino. I like Lana Del Rey. I do not like this track.
People should just leave this girl’s music alone. I guess when stuff is sparse and minimal people just have to see if giving it the maximal treatment can make it better. None of the ppl remixing her come close to besting what she’s made, and what she’s made isn’t even that great. Quit riding those high-waisted miniskirt coattails and do ya’own’damn thang. Y’erdme?
She didnt make anything
It’s Tuesday not Saturday, can we stop talking about her now? Holy fucking shit.
This is a Clams Casino remix and he fucking hit it out of the park, that’s all.
“Try to hate” is a challenge the internet is always up for.
this.
my opinion is right and all of yalls are wrong even though i shop for mine from blogs i deem relevant (because others have deemed them relevant) in between my shifts at Pac Sun
blog comments…
Burial would have done this better.
“where’s the drop?”
I love Clammy Clams but idk whats been up with his remixes. Good opportunity to follow up on his sick stuff and he keeps putting out these weak songs without any of his flavor. Seems half-assed compared to what hes capable of. And I’d be ok to never hear of lana del ray again, shes like the tebow of music blogs.
Y’all just don’t get Clams. This remix is the shit. The ending is killer and fuck Lana Del Rey.
Please tell us about your great insight into Clams that everyone else is missing.
no one’s missing it except for you
haha you are so defensive. I love Clams, but c’mon, if this was someone’s first production you would pass it over. You can be into an artist without promoting everything they do. Filter bro.
i’m not being defensive at all. you’re right though, if this was someone’s first prod. i probably would’ve never listened to it in the first place.
but i def. don’t promote everything clams/LDR does. i genuinely think this rmx is interesting, try listening again. feel like people just don’t get subtle/understated shit anymore (via “where’s the drop”)
well i’m sure he just did it for the $ LDR’s ppl gave him to try and make her look underground & hip by association and didn’t particularly feel like putting too much effort into the track, figuring ppl would listen to for 1 day and forget about, even if it was good. duh.
Love clams casino, usually, but this is dead boring.
Her voice is thoroughly unremarkable, and the lyrics are pure sophomore english.
NEXT!
Both artists have made interesting music. This song is not interesting. I will never listen to this song again.
<3 clams casino, not into lDr but liked blue jeans..expected something alittle more for some reason..ending is lovely.
I like it!!
Nice to see Gorilla Vs. Bear completely ignoring the SOPA blackout and just pumping out tunes like business as usual. Even better, lead with a giant image of Lana Del Rey to jack up the web hits. Nothing like existing in a vacuum.
hey dipshit i posted this yesterday
also you’re online posting comments on blogs, i don’t think you get how the blackout is supposed to work
I know you posted it yesterday. Yeah, that matters. (Ahem, Daniel Rossen. Cough, Santigold). BTW: It’s not about NOT using the internet. It’s about sites at least doing SOMETHING symbolic in taking a stand against an overreaching piece of legislation, which in theory could hurt sites just like your own. It’s a way to show all the content that could be gone, if it were enacted. But hey, why care when there’s posts to get up and clicks needed for HCG Diet Universe and RVCA?
i’m taking my stand by continuing to support all of the great artists/labels that want to give away free music + videos on the internet. SOPA’s been shelved indefinitely by the way, your time complaining on this little blog would be better spent joining us in donating “actual money” to cancer.org, the humane society, and ensuring that we elect officials that understand how the internet works and that SOPA/PIPA are bullshit
In response to the conveniently closed comment “Chris | Posted at 12:36PM, Jan 18th”: Kinda lame to bring up unrelated topics like cancer and puppies to try to make a point. In logic that’s what called the “appeal to emotion fallacy.” That, and it has nothing to do with anything. Whatever makes you feel better about doing nothing. Yes, SOPA is “shelved”, but these types of proposals will still come up. And PIPA is out there too. Sites like yours should care about it. Just my opinion.
thanks for your opinion, you should blackout your site today then. i’m not trying to appeal to emotions, i just have other priorities. i’ll continue doing what i feel is right.
i like it.it’s strange and special.and nothing like a dozen other remixes that have been going around the internet these few months, seriously overrating a good song.
Clams always makes it beautiful in brutal way.
Vince Carter
Everyone needs to stop throwing out ridicules remarks. Chris you have an amazing blog & post amazing music. Fuck everything else.
i like ldr. i like clams. this remix is not interesting or subtle; it’s average at best and the second half seems particularly ill-considered. i’m underwhelmed given clams’ track record.
Yo, you troll azz motherfuckers need to chill……
WHY DID U POZT CONTENT..WHERE IZ THE BLACK 0UT CHRIZ???
At first I was a little put off. I haven’t much cared for Clam’s Casino’s other music. This remix kind of grows on you after a listen or two though. Hitting play for the third time now.
Also, for the record, I dig Lana Del Rey’s voice. Really don’t give a shit about hype. If someone is good, they’re good regardless of hype or lack thereof. Music is hyper subjective anyway.
Where is this poster from? It’s hilarious… how is Rem Koolhaas involved? (He’s mentioned in Cyrillic in the credits)
it’s the cover of Interview Mag in Russia, not sure he’s involved with the pic, i assume there’s an article about him in the issue too
just gruesome! totally disharmonic in all the bad ways.
I think it is purposefully bad -Clammy is playing a joke.
I like this remix, i think he did a good job, her voice is right on for what tone is set… Not his best work but still a good track!!!
She can sing and she is hot. let it be

also its Czech not russian
the song is garbage. clams has some complex, subtle elements going on throughout the majority of the track (his signature warped, distorted feeling) but it is way too far back in the mix. It goes beyond ‘minimal’, almost as though it is hiding the lack of real substance behind Lana Del Ray’s super suck voice. The end of the song comes out strong but too late. I doubt this “collaboration” has anything do with a real musical interest or collaboration. Its just a commercial promotional tool, and this blog is promoting is.
WHUR IS THE DROP?
Not bad…Not bad at all!
