We leave you for the weekend with our favorite music videos of 2011: you’ll notice that the majority of these videos are of the low-budget, DIY variety, as most of the expensive / cinematic joints that dropped this year felt a little overwrought and, with a couple of notable exceptions, mostly fell flat for us. imo real estate, friends, panda bear & grimes should all be higher up, ESPECIALLY grimes
agree with your #1 though, that yonkers video is magnetic
right, but you also are looking for reasons to deny that the LDR vid, despite the controversy, was pretty damn solid. i imagine the choppy, washed up la aesthetic was intentional. it was also effective.
