Sweden’s Korallreven is set to release one of the most beautiful records we’ve heard all year (featuring guest vocal turns from Julianna Barwick + Victoria Bergsman) in November on Acéphale. To celebrate, the label is giving away the group’s new A Dream Within A Dream mixtape — which features a little preview of the new record + some dreamy new Korallreven remixes of tracks by the likes of Ciara, Britney, and the Velvet Underground — for free download. Acéphale says:
“More ambitious than their previous mixes, the pair revisit and remix some of their favourite songs from the past year. The result is not a farewell to summer, more of a wistful glance over the shoulder…”

My psychic powers are telling me the next mixtape will be called “Another Dream Within a Dream”. Ok, now it’s starting to sound like Inception.
I just typed “dream within a dream kor” into Google and one of the first results was Britney Spears’ Wiki because she had had a “Dream Within A Dream Tour” back in 2001. Hence, that was likely the inspiration for the title… So interesting how she remains a viable vehicle for producers to make huge pop hits behind even though she’s still not-right mentally. As evidenced by her appearance at the VMAs last week. She was in total robot mode.
