Little-known secret: While I do believe SP’s recorded work so far is next-level brilliant shit, the live show I saw last fall was pretty disappointing. Not sure Ish’s got it quite dialed in for the stage.

I saw Shabazz a couple months ago and it was one of the most energetic and tightly composed performances I have ever seen. I was actually wondering why the album version of recollections of the wraith didn’t contain the same instrumentals that the group used live- but thanks to the daytrotter, we can enjoy that version as well.
This version is much better than the album’s. I hope their next album sounds a lot more like this.
SP’s live show is AMAZING. I just saw them at Pitchfork fest.. One of the best shows of the weekend
