you mean one of the year’s best albums SO FAR right? you know it’s march 4th, right? i’ve listened to this album more than any other this year, but still think you’re getting a little ahead of yourself.

As the Redskins, Indians, Braves, and Seminoles of various sports leagues have been undermining our real forefathers for a good century, this little video for a relatively unknown band is just the icing on the cake.

the beginning of this video was brimming with sensuality, but I lost interest after they stopped showing the hot tripping quixotic hippie chicas. love the album!

Cultural appropriation is so offensive.
White people ‘playing Indian’ blurring their own stoned stereotypes of Native peoples does not honor the First Peoples of this country whatsoever. I don’t care what decade the original sci-fi footage is from, it doesn’t need to be rehashed into this one so yet another kid shows up to party in an Indian headress and continues to reenact THEIR fairy tale versions of Native people and act like they aren’t still here today, still fighting genocide and invisibility and oppression.
The song is gorgeous but the grossly offensive video totally killed it. I will post some more resources about this soon for people to become informed if you are willing to open your eyes and hearts to the criticisms that are very valid and relevant here.
