London’s Summer Camp just sent over the first song from their forthcoming debut full-length, which is due late this summer on an as-yet-undisclosed label. Produced with Steve Mackey of Pulp — he’s also done production work for M.I.A. and Florence + the Machine, among others — “I Want You” is a thick, shadowy dance jam that explores the same sort of hopeless romanticism present in Summer Camp’s beloved early work (longing, unrequited love, heartbreak, etc.), just in a considerably more intense, occasionally violent manner. Loving the darker vibes; sounds like 2011’s stalker anthem:

Summer Camp :: I Want You
Summer Camp will play their first ever U.S. shows next month, including an early show on March 2 in NYC at Mercury Lounge with the High Highs, and one in L.A. on March 10 supporting Kisses at the Echo. You can also catch the band at one of their SXSW shows in Austin in March, including the Forest Family x Transparent showcase.
