This new version of Crystal Castles‘ Platinum Blonde cover has been floating around for a few days, and now the band has made the song available for free download. I didn’t expect to love it so much, but this is way better than it has any right to be in 2010:
mp3:
Crystal Castles :: Not In Love (ft. Robert Smith)
The Not In Love single will be officially released on iTunes on December 6, with “acoustic demos of ‘Celestica‘ and ‘Suffocation‘ as b-sides.”

Appears the link to “not in love” is broken :-(
right cliq >>> save link as >>> enjoy
seems to work okay for me, try refreshing
So glad to see this as a free download … great song
Dude, the band never stated it was free for download. Nothing or no one affiliated with the band ever said it was free for download. People will however end up ripping if from the youtube video and radio etc. Also: You do realize, by directly linking and uploading the track to your site/server,you are delibrately breaking various copyright laws? I suggest you delete it, to be honest.
is Biz3 affiliated with the band? because they emailed the mp3 to me, and said it was cool to post/share. i can forward you the email if you like
get fucked.
sorry, but lol@getting upset about copyright law as it relates to a cc song. love their music but i dont think they’d have much room to be upset about it
STFU!!
BTW, forgot to mention: just host it on a site like megaupload.com or mediafire.com. This will avoid any legal trouble from your hosting company or from a label etc.
dude, i got permission to host the mp3 from Biz3
Why did you even bother justifying yourself. You already made the post. “Wat?” can be fucked dealing with the fact that this is the way music blogs function. Fuck yeah, GVB FTW. Lolololz!!@#!~#@~#$%
I don’t particularly dig this band but I’m shocked by how cool they sound with Bobby (it’s fun to call Robert Smith “Bobby”) fronting the band. Really neat-o mosquito.
Love this track so much. Smith fits in really well with the sound that they modified ever so slightly on the track. Definitely one of the highlights from the album as well.
This song saved 2010.
they need a producer. like a Producer
Tihs song is the dogs bollocks! (aka: really good) Rob Rulez!
does anyone know if the acoustic songs were released?
