Marissa Nadler is attempting to record a new album without the assistance of a record label, so she’s set up a Kickstarter campaign to cover the “recording of the record, as well as compensating the musicians that will play on the record, and finally the mixing and mastering of the record.” Contributions of $10 or more essentially amount to a pre-order, and will receive a digital download of the album a month before the official release date. I hope she’ll reach the requested sum. It must have been bit embarrassing for her to make such video, categories for pledge-backers and then wait if it is successful. She has already built a fan-base, now she’ll see, how strong it is.
