$#@%*! recorded 'one song' in July, made a myspace page, and was (probably) written about extensively by the NYT by the end of last summer. And even weirder: now part of a dated genre of musicians, who are already 'many' blog years old, six months ago. This is an example the current mainstream music consumption cycle.

I have never posted a comment on this blog but I have been reading it for quite sometime. I felt I needed to comment on this because I am from/live in the South. THAT IS HOW WE DO IT!!!
I live one state to the West of Ernest and he is a great representation of the newer, younger “southerner” that I consider myself to be. We have become more “aware” and “cultured” and yet we still like to do our Southern thing. The younger lot is much more progressive down here then one would think.
The most creative and forward thinking artists come from the most “boring” regions of this country, i.e. The South.
he's a major babe!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!!
