Looks like a great show! I was wondering how Washed Out was going to sound live… no complaints. Small Black are dope, props to them for supporting him live.
Don't get me wrong, I love (<3) the Washed Out and Small Black recordings, but I saw them live together at the echoplex in Los Angeles last Friday and couldn't be more disappointed. Maybe I smoked some bad shit?, but i couldn't help obsessing it was all karaoke and they weren't even playing their instruments, which this vid doesn't disprove. I guess I hoped they would be a bit more sullen and not so damn groovy. Maybe a visual woulda helped???

It's cool to see that Washed Out is still moving along. I came across his stuff a while back and was impressed how cool it sounded for being recorded in his home studio. Props to that guy.
