Memory Tapes reworks one of the best/most ubiquitous songs of last year, and the results are predictably great. Word on the street is that this will appear on an upcoming purple vinyl single with another “1901″ remix from Animal Collective. Download it from We’re Tapes.

i dont know what's mixed about the song – there are no original components that have been altered except the vocal part. i guess over dubbing the vocal over any instrumental counts as a "remix"/"mix" these days… I love me some Memory Tapes but this is lazy for both the listener and creator.

the music is not in the right key. this sounds awful — and memory tapes' album is my fav. and i love phoenix. I seriously can't even listen to this.
