As much as I've enjoyed the other solo attempts from other members of the Strokes; each of those albums all smacked of half-baked Strokes songs.
Fortunately, this seems to be taking a different sonic route. I'm excited to hear this and optimistic it won't come off as another Little Joy or Albert Hammond Jr. venture.

Little Joy put out an amazing record. I could have done without the others.

FioE would have been a great record if it wasn't for that "5 too many songs"

1/4 of the album sucked realy bad!

the other 3/4 was good strokes!
they have to comeback to is this it and room on fire

This completely came out of no where for me. I'm glad he's taking a completely different direction. Hopefully all the solo ventures won't detract from the writing on the Strokes album

It will probably sound like the strokes and ratatat, because that is exactly what this sounds like it will be.
