More noisy/abrasive, sinister lo-fi pop jams from Toronto‘s Little Girls, in the form of an upcoming release on their hometown label, Paper Bag Records. “Tambourine” is the raucous “bedroom goth” title track from the new EP (pictured above), due out June 2 on Paper Bag:

Grouper‘s Way Their Crept was apparently reissued earlier this year, although no one ever told me about it, and it seems info on the reissue is kind of hard to come by. Anyway, you know how we feel about Liz Harris’ last album, and this one is almost as good, though it’s definitely on some bleaker, more atmospheric steez, and reaches deeper, murkier depths than the more song-oriented Dragging… It’s also best listened to as one long, continuous haunted drone, making it without question one of the best “sleep” albums of all time. You can download the whole thing in mp3 format today through Sunday only for just $2.99 here.
Grouper is on tour now with Animal Collective.
