Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest has quickly established itself as one of the most diverse and laid back festivals around, and they kind of stepped their lineup game up a bit this year, as legends/luminaries from the worlds of hardcore, hip-hop, indie, and dance converged on Waterloo Park for the weekend. Day one highlights included Deerhoof, the Octopus Project, Dan Deacon, YACHT, the National, the Dead Milkmen, and more; here are some shots of some of those bands, but mostly Deerhoof. We'll have more in the next day or two, but also hit up Brooklyn Vegan, MOKB, Ultra8201, and the Austinist for more coverage of the fest.
