While it looks like Radiohead‘s “Reckoner” remix contest only officially started today, we already have a couple of odds-on favorites from two of my favorite producers. Well, at least until we hear Hipster Runoff‘s effort. If I’m not mistaken, Diplo even comes correct with a warped Beirut sample:

I think the flying lotus mix is terrible. I usually love dude’s stuff but i think this was an off one for him.

Great news for me since I’ve been making sweet aural love with Diplo for the past couple of days. Wish he’d make a second version of this one, though. He creates a nice mood but I never quite felt it climax. Sounds like a draft to me. Spending a bit more time working with this one could do wonders in his hands.
Lotus I think goes to much for the ambient instead of focusing on the amazing rhythm he could have used with those drum stems. I have to say I found it dissapointing as well.
Juliana Barwick’s is not quite a remix but it is very interesting. It made me realized that this was the sort of sound I was really expecting from Bjork’s Medulla. Basically layers of cascading choirs and a delicate atmosphere with neoclassical hints.

i like the flying lotus one best…
Even it got me crazy enough to buy Guild Wars Prophecies with some my own GuildWars Gold and Nightfall and Eye of the North. It is expensive to buy gw gold all parts. If you lack the GuildWars money, but it is worth it and no monthly costs and the game gets updated weekly at least. Once again, if anyone wants to play Guild Wars sometime add me to friends here Guild Wars Gold. And realize how much cheap gw gold I bought in the last couple of weeks, months, years. So I found this Guild Wars Factions and installed it.
