I recently discovered the irresistibly eccentric pop of France's Get Back Guinozzi ! after stumbling upon the group's myspace. The band lists Talking Heads, Can, Tom Tom Club, Jamaican DJs, cheerleaders, and bicycles among their influences, but the two awesome songs on their page sound sort of like an adorable, playful union between Deerhoof, '60s yé-yé, Tropicalia, and maybe some vintage Slits. This one is particularly great, and the band was nice enough to send over the mp3:

The band are apparently set to sign with Fat Cat, and will play their first show ever on September 19 in Paris, one day before playing Open Circuit with Animal Collective, Frightened Rabbit, and others in Belgium. So yeah, I imagine they'll be all over the place in the not so distant future.
