Lightning Dust is Amber Webber and Joshua Wells of Black Mountain. Their new self-titled album was recorded "in a dank cave and a bright blue house," and is a model of sparse, simplistic beauty. Nothing spectacular, but Webber has one of those rare, haunting voices that is alternately comforting/heartbreaking (see Victoria Legrand of Beach House), that in effect just makes this whole record for us. She especially shines on this one:
